Your whole line of flying,
on the kitchen counter — live.

Crew Mode follows your schedule: in the air, on the ground at a layover, when you land, when you're home. It needs one thing from you — your schedule — and this page shows where to get it for each crew system. We only ever read it. No airline login is ever typed into WingsAbove.

01 Three ways in

A live link beats a file every time. Pick whichever your crew system can give you.

Link

A calendar link — updates by itself

A subscription address (https://…ics or webcal://…) pasted on crew.wings-above.com. We re-read it about every 30 minutes, so swaps and reroutes follow on their own. Delta, RosterBuster users, and anyone whose crew app writes to the phone calendar.

File

A downloaded file — a snapshot

An .ics or .vcs file you export and upload. It stopped changing the moment it was saved, so you upload a fresh one when your line changes. The display warns you four days before it runs out. FLICA airlines and AA Crew Check In.

Union

A union calendar — hands-off

The server link, username and password from APA Calendar Sync. We read that calendar every half hour. The one place we hold a login, stored sealed and erased when you disconnect. American pilots.

02 Find your airline

Every step on this page was read from the crew system's own help, or a crew-app maker's. Where nobody documents a way, we say so. Each airline also has its own page, easier to share with the person doing the setup.

03 Delta — MiCrew

MiCrew writes your line into a calendar on the phone named MiCrew. Sharing that one calendar gives a live link, and your personal calendar stays yours.

  1. Turn on Auto-Sync. In MiCrew: Menu › Settings › Calendar. Set up Auto-Sync and turn off "Sync By Flight". Choose the option for the calendar being on this device.
  2. Find the MiCrew calendar. Wait about half a minute. Open the iPhone Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and tap the (i) next to MiCrew.
  3. Make it public and copy the link. Turn on Public Calendar, tap Share Link, copy it. It starts webcal://p69-caldav.icloud.com/published/…
  4. Paste it. On crew.wings-above.com pick Delta, paste the link, check the flights shown back are yours, then type the code into the display.
Android? MiCrew syncs to your Google calendar instead. On a computer, open Google Calendar › Settings › that calendar › Integrate calendar › copy the Secret address in iCal format. It is not shown in the phone app.

04 American — two ways

The simplest is a file from the official app. The hands-off one is APA Calendar Sync.

AA Crew Check In — a file

  1. Export the calendar. The official AA Crew Check In app has a Calendar Export that saves your schedule as an ICS file. Save it to your phone.
  2. Upload it. On crew.wings-above.com pick American, use Upload a downloaded file, check the flights, type the code into the display.
  3. Export again when your line changes. A file is a snapshot. The display tells you four days before it runs out.

APA Calendar Sync — updates by itself

  1. Open Calendar Sync. In the APA app, open Calendar Sync and pick the iCloud tab. Add Calendar if there is none.
  2. Copy all three. The Subscription Link (Server), the Username, and the password shown on that screen.
  3. Connect it. On crew.wings-above.com pick American, open Connect a union calendar, paste all three, check the flights, type the code into the display.
That server link is not a feed. It starts https://caldavservice.alliedpilots.org/calendar/dav/… and needs the username and password, which is why it cannot be pasted into the ordinary link box. The password is stored sealed, used only to read that calendar, and erased when you press Disconnect on the page.

05 FLICA airlines

Spirit, Frontier, JetBlue, Hawaiian, Republic, Endeavor, PSA, Piedmont, WestJet, Air Wisconsin, Mesa, Porter, Jazz. FLICA only downloads a file, one month at a time, so this is the upload route.

  1. Show the month. In FLICA open Information and Tools › FLICA Calendar and show the month you want. The export covers only the month you are looking at.
  2. Export Schedule. Click Export Schedule. In the Schedule Exporter choose Use .VCS Format (or Mac iCalendar), tick the pairings you want, click Send, then Save.
  3. Upload the file. It is called SCHEDULE.VCS; Safari sometimes saves it as SCHEDULE.VCS.ICS. Either is fine. On crew.wings-above.com pick your airline and use Upload a downloaded file.
  4. Next month too. Export it once it is awarded, and upload that file when this one runs out. The display reads "Uploaded schedule ends …" in its footer from four days out.

06 United

United's crew system publishes no calendar export, and Crew Companion was retired in September 2026.

If you use ezCCS, Flight Crew View or RosterBuster to get your line onto your phone, the any-airline route below works. If you have found another way, tell us and we will write it here.

07 Southwest

The CrewView app says it can print and export, but nobody documents what it produces.

If it gives you an .ics file, use Upload a downloaded file on crew.wings-above.com. Otherwise the any-airline route below works. A Southwest pilot who walks this with us once would settle it for everyone.

08 Any airline — share one phone calendar

Whatever already puts your line on your phone, then one shared calendar.

  1. Get the schedule onto your phone. Your crew app's own sync, or an app such as Flight Crew View or RosterBuster. If it lands in your main calendar, first make a separate calendar for it (Calendar app › Calendars › Add Calendar) and point the app there, so your personal events stay private.
  2. iPhone: share that calendar. Calendar app › Calendars › tap the (i) next to it › turn on Public Calendar › Share Link, and copy it.
  3. Android or a computer: Google's secret address. Google Calendar on a computer › Settings › that calendar › Integrate calendar › copy the Secret address in iCal format. It is not shown in the phone app, and a work or school account's admin can hide it.
  4. RosterBuster users can skip all that. app.rosterbuster.aero › Settings › Calendar (under Export) › copy the WebCal link.
  5. Paste it. On crew.wings-above.com, check the flights shown back, type the code into the display.

09 Pairing it with the display

The same four steps whichever way the schedule came in. Takes a couple of minutes, once.

  1. Open crew.wings-above.com on your phone or a computer, and pick your airline. This is what turns a bare "2214 MSP-ATL" into a flight we can follow.
  2. Give it the schedule. Paste the link, upload the file, or connect the union calendar.
  3. Check the flights. The page reads back your next few days. If they are not yours, it is the wrong calendar, not a mistake you made.
  4. Type the six-digit code into the display. Menu › Crew › Setup › Use a code from my phone. It works once and expires in 15 minutes. Then Use as the main display if you want the whole screen.
Who holds what. A link or a file is stored on the display itself, so nothing of yours can be lost by us. Remove it any time under Menu › Crew. Revoke a link where you got it: Google › Integrate calendar › Reset; iCloud › turn Public Calendar off.

10 Questions

"Feed returned 404" with a Google link. You pasted the public address (it has /public/basic.ics in it). Google answers 404 unless the calendar is shared publicly. Copy the Secret address in iCal format, a field lower on the same page. On a company Google account the admin may have hidden it; a personal Gmail doesn't have that restriction.
"That's a calendar-server address."You pasted the APA Calendar Sync server link into the link box. It needs the username and password too: use Connect a union calendar instead.
"No flights were recognized."Usually the airline box at the top is empty: most crew systems write legs with no airline code. Pick your airline and check again. If it is a personal calendar rather than your crew schedule, that explains it too.
The display says "Uploaded schedule ends …".You paired a file, and it is four days from its last landing. Export a fresh one and upload it; the display takes the new code and carries on.
My family can see my personal appointments.Your crew app writes into your main calendar. Make a separate calendar for the schedule, point the app at it, and share only that one. MiCrew already keeps its own.
Deadheads show as "riding as a passenger".On purpose. A family reading "flying to DTW" when you are asleep in 14C is a small avoidable lie.
"Home in" shows two dashes. The schedule ends part-way through a trip, so we don't know when you are home and won't guess. Export further ahead, or it fills in once the feed does.
